STEM
It has been a great start in STEM in the last Term of the year. In Term 4, we will focus on Earth and Space in STEM.
Preps started the Term by exploring how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders identify seasons in different parts of the country. In this Term, they learn about observable changes that occur in the sky and landscape in different seasons. Grade One and Two students started learning about Earth resources, and they explored natural resources and their use in everyday life.
For Grade Three and Four students, the Term began with a practical exploration of the rotation and the revolution of the Earth and its effects. They enjoyed making a model of the Earth, sun and moon to observe the movements of the Earth. Grades Five and Six started the Term by learning how a hypothesis becomes a science theory. They will extend their understanding of the solar system's key features in the coming weeks
