PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Physical Education Newsletter

We’re excited to share what our students have been up to in Physical Education this term!

Prep

Through fun games and activities, our Preps are beginning to explore the impact that physical activities have on our health and wellbeing. We are supporting our students to develop knowledge, understanding and skills to make active choices. It has been wonderful to have our students identify their feelings after participating in our fun-filled lessons.

Grade 1 & 2

In Grades 1 & 2, students have been expanding their understanding of movement through various fun activities. Our students have been challenging themselves as they compared different types of movements and identified which ones were easier and harder.

Grade 3 & 4

Students in Grades 3 & 4 are getting ready for some exciting modified T-Ball games. They have been practising and refining their throwing and catching skills to be successful in fielding. We look forward to practising batting and learning the rules of the game.

Grade 5 & 6

In Grades 5 & 6, students are focusing on their cricket skills! They have been practising and refining their skills and techniques of batting.

Hoop Time

Congratulations to our students who competed in the Regional Hoop Time Competition on Monday 14th October. The students won all three games on the day, finished 1st in their pool and the qualifying final. This means that on the 6th of December they will be competing at the State Hoop Time Competition! We are so proud of all of the students and their efforts, we wish them the best of luck for their next competition.
