VOCABULARY

Inferring: To infer is to make a well informed guess. When you infer, you listen closely to someone and guess at things they mean but haven't actually said. It's like guessing, but not making wild guesses.


ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

At home, students can practice inferring after they have finished reading a book. 

 

Using this template, students can take information from the book and combine it with information that they already know to make an inference. 

 

For Example:
