From the Principal

It has been anothe great week here at STM with lots of learning taking place. On Wednesday the students participated in National Simultanious Story Time, where students listened to The Truck Cat written by Deborah Frenkel and Illustrated by Danny Snell. This is a heartwarming story about cats and humans, immigration and identity.

Last Friday it was Walk to School Day, it was great to see so many families make an effort to walk to school (or at least some of the way). It is vitally important that our students understand the dangers around walking and commuting on our busy roads. That is why I am always at the gate at the end of the day reminding students to use the crossing to walk across the Belgrave Car Park. It would be great for all parents could help with this message.

Over the next few weeks, I have a range of meetings that I need to attend as part of me being Principal, as well as holding other roles within the school, as such I will be absent from school for some days. Please note that when I am not at school Ms Danielle George moves into the Acting Principal Role.

Just a reminder to families that the school will be closed on Monday 9th of June and Friday 13th of June. MACSEYE are running a program on the 13th of June, students must be enrolled in MACSEYE to participate.
