'Being Brave' performance

On Monday the 2 June, Alex and Annie came down from Brainstorm Productions to perform the Being Brave play. The play was about a boy named Fly that had two birds that were sick. The vet said he had to let them free, but Fly didn't want to, then he found a competition where he could win $500 to get a bigger cage for his birds and a trip to Sydney to see his dad.
The competition was about finding someone brave and along the way he met Tim, Celia, Billy, Granny and Isha and Fly thought they were all very brave. Soon Fly realised that he had to be brave and let his birds free so that is what he did and he decided to make a song about being brave.
We learned that there are many different ways to be brave and were given some tools for how to deal with situations like cyberbullying.

On June 2nd, students from Years 3 to 6 visited the JCB to watch a live performance of 'Being Brave' by Brainstorm Productions. Brainstorm Productions is an incredible theatre company that creates and performs educational plays for schools like ours.
A huge thank you to Brainstorm Productions for bringing this inspiring play to us, and to Mrs. Erwin for organizing the event. The cast delivered an outstanding performance, and everyone really enjoyed the show.
Through the play, we learned valuable lessons about what to do when we feel worried or scared, and how to stay safe online. It was a fantastic experience for all of us — thank you again to everyone involved! 😁
