Year 3 Wellbeing, Warrior and World Dance Incursion
Our Year 3 students thoroughly enjoyed their recent incursion, which focused on wellbeing, teamwork, and global dance.
During the Mind and Body session, students explored calming breathing techniques, yoga movements, and strategies to help them stay centred and relaxed.
In the Team Building session, students worked in small groups to complete tasks and solve puzzles
The World Dance session was a lively and engaging experience, introducing students to a variety of dances from different cultures around the world.
Berthe Mouchette Poetry Competition
A select group of students participated in the Berthe Mouchette poetry competition. They recited two different poems per year level. Luca and Hugo E from 4B wrote the following recount of the event. Year four students recited the poems, “The Little Prince” and “The Lollies”. It was cool and fun, and when you finished reciting the poem, it made you happy and feel like a champion. If you win the finals, you can go to the ceremony and maybe win a cake or some macarons. Good luck, everyone, for the finals!
Spatzenschule Lunch Order Day
Our students very much enjoyed the delicious lunch order day put on by the Spatzenschule. Students enjoyed a hot dog, a chocolate brownie, and a drink. Thank you to our parents for supporting the Spatzenschule community! Save the date for their next lunch order day on Thursday, 28 August.
District Cross Country
On Friday, the 16th May, 44 students represented Toorak Primary School at the Southport Cross Country Competition. Students ran 2-3km around Fawkner Park. A big congratulations to all the students who competed on the day. Well done to Chloe for placing first in her age group and Yves for placing 6th in his age group. Chloe and Yves progressed to represent Toorak Primary School at the Beachside Division Cross Country Competition. Although they were not in the placegettings, they did our school proud!
Foundation to Grade 2 Cross Country
Last Wednesday, we held our P–2 Cross Country Carnival in the park. All Prep to Grade 2 students showed off their enthusiasm, determination, and house spirit as they ran the cross-country course. It was wonderful to see students giving their best efforts, whether they ran the whole course, jogged with a buddy, or finished with a big smile.
Congratulations to Kingsford for scoring the most points for the day. Well done to all houses for cheering each other on and creating such a positive atmosphere.
Grade 3 to 6 House Athletics
Our annual House Athletics Carnival was a fantastic day filled with enthusiasm, determination, and outstanding displays of school spirit. Held under perfect weather conditions, students from all year levels gave their best in a wide range of track and field events—from sprints and hurdles to high jump, long jump, and shot put.
It was wonderful to see all the students getting involved, whether competing, supporting their peers, or helping behind the scenes. A big congratulations to all participants for their effort and sportsmanship, and to Hinkler for earning the most house points. Special thanks also go to the parent helpers who helped make the day such a success.
