Family Time this Wednesday 28th May

This Wednesday at Family Time we will be learning how to draw animals, trains, princesses, superheroes and lots more!  Follow our simple step by step tutorials and you’ll be an expert in no time. If drawing doesn’t tickle your fancy, we have some great colouring pages for you too.

Hope to see you all this Wednesday in the library at 3.15 PM to 4.15 PM.  A friendly reminder that children cannot join Family Time without a supervising parent or carer.

Just a few photos of from last week's Lego activities.

Westbreen Community Playgroup

Our weekly playgroup is held in the Specialist Building every Thursday morning just after the bell goes at 9:00am until 10:30am.  If it's a nice day the group often take the children outside for a play on our playground.

You don't need to have a child at Team Westbreen to attend as our Playgroup is open to all members in our local community.  So, if you have a family member, neighbour, or any friends with a baby, or child under 5, please invite them to come along to our Playgroup, everyone is welcome.

Joining a Playgroup is a great way to make new friends, for both adults and children, and to be able to share the highs, and lows, of the wonderful journey of parenthood.  You don't have to commit to attending every week, you can come along when it suits and there is not cost involved.

Our Playgroup is coordinated by Georgia Poletti Moulds, a mum of 3 boys and a member of our Team Westbreen Community for over 7 years. In this time Georgia has been really wanting to restart the Westbreen Playgroup and is excited that it has finally happened.  If you would like to know more about how it all works, please contact Georgia at georgia.poletti.moulds@gmail.com.  Alternatively, you can scan the QR code on the below flyer and Georgia will get back to you.

Volunteering at Team Westbreen

At Team Westbreen we love having our community involved in helping to enhance the learning experiences of our students.  If you are interested in listening to our students’ read, help with classroom activities when teachers need help, making resources for our teachers, assisting at Book Fair, Mother’s and/or Father’s Day stall, attending sports days and/or excursions, or volunteering at our Canteen and/or Breakfast Club.  For more information contact me via email kerry.parfett@eduction.vic.gov.au, or via phone 03 9306 9481. 2025 District Cross Country

On Thursday, the 22nd of May, 33 Westbreen Primary School students represented the school at the Glenroy District Cross Country. Twelve schools in our area competed in age groups from 9 upwards. Students aged 9/10 ran two kilometres, whilst the 11 and 12 year olds ran three kilometres. Each age group had roughly 70 students competing. The cross country course challenged students stamina and resilience, with each and every student doing themselves and our school proud. At the end of the day, students were equal parts exhausted and proud of their own achievements.

Amongst the results, we had some fantastic finishes! Congratulations to Ava. S (3rd 11 y.o Girls), Harper. C (4th 9/10 Girls) & Annie. C (6th 12/13 Girls). All three girls have qualified to represent Glenroy District at Divisional Cross Country at Banyule Flats Reserve on the 3rd of June.

Congratulations and good luck girls!
