Around the School

Prep Update

Our Prep students have made a smooth and confident start to Term 2.

It has been wonderful to see them settle into routines and grow in independence each day. A key focus this term has been on developing their early writing skills. Each week, the students are introduced to new letters and sounds, which they eagerly practise through drawing, labelling, and attempting their own written sentences. They are becoming increasingly confident at hearing and recording sounds in words, and take great pride in their growing abilities.

One of the highlights in our classrooms is seeing how excited the children are to share their work. Whether it's presenting their writing to a teacher, a friend, or the whole class, they beam with pride and enthusiasm.

Well done to all our clever and creative Prep students!

Year 5/6 Students Watch Frozen!

In week 5, the 4th and 5th grade students went to watch the production of “Frozen JR” performed by the students of Academy of Mary Immaculate. It was a terrific showcase and we were also thrilled to see a past pupil, Sammy Robinson with a part in the production.

Congratulations to our Galilee Esports Champions!

A big congratulations goes out to Zach E, Aaron M, Jai G, and Gio L for being selected to represent Galilee in the Esports Championships! Over the past month, these talented students have been working hard on an incredible Minecraft project inspired by the Dreamtime story Tiddalik the Frog. Their creativity and teamwork will be on full display later in June as they compete against other schools at Oz Comic-Con. We’re so proud of their efforts and wish them the very best of luck!

Semester Two Events

We have so many events at Galilee. We thought it would be helpful to create a poster that lets you know what is coming up.
