House Reading Cup Kicks Off!
The House Reading Cup is underway and our library has been buzzing with reading excitement. Students have been eagerly reading and borrowing, with our younger readers leading the charge.
The image below shows the running total as of Thursday. A fantastic start! We can’t wait to see which House will take the lead as the competition heats up over the coming weeks.
Year 4 Library Pen Pal News
Recently, Mrs Sauvage and Mrs Donaldson discovered that our Year 4 Library Pen Pal, author Pip Harry, was visiting Brisbane. Although she was here to launch a Young Adult novel (not quite suited to Year 4 readers), our students had been talking about the publishing process and what an incredible achievement releasing a new book is. To celebrate, they created thoughtful congratulations cards. Mrs Sauvage and Mrs Donaldson were able to meet Pip and deliver the cards on behalf of the students. Pip was absolutely thrilled to receive such heartfelt messages from her Pen Pals.
