What's happening in Year 3/4 space?
Dear Families,
It’s been a busy and exciting start to term 3 in Year 3/4! In Literacy, we finished reading The Iron Man by Ted Hughes, and have now begun our new class novel, Charlotte’s Web. The students are already enjoying meeting the characters and exploring the themes of friendship and kindness.
In Maths, we have been building our skills across a range of topics. We started the term by investigating angles and telling time, and are now moving into decimal numbers. The students are showing great persistence as they learn how decimals connect to fractions and whole numbers.
A highlight of the term so far has been preparing for our upcoming school musical. The students have been rehearsing with lots of energy and enthusiasm, and we can’t wait to share all their hard work with you soon on Wednesday September 10t. To inspire our budding performers even further, we also had the chance to attend an excursion to see the musical theatre production Annie. This was a fantastic opportunity for the children to see professional performers on stage and get a sense of what goes into putting on a big show.
Please don't hesitate to contact us on Dojo, via email or come in for a chat if you need anything at all!
