Eastern Metropolitan Region Teeball Final
On Wednesday 20th August, our boys' teeball team proudly represented our school at the Eastern Metropolitan Region Teeball Finals, held at the Waverley Softball Centre.
After their impressive victories in the District competition back in Term 1 and more recently at the Maroondah Division Finals, the boys were excited for the challenge ahead.
It was a perfect winter’s day, the sun was shining and the energy was high. We were placed in Pool 1, alongside four other schools. Throughout the morning, we played matches against Rolling Hills PS, Warrandyte PS, and Ashburton PS.
Our opening match against Rolling Hills PS saw a fantastic all-round effort in both batting and fielding, resulting in a 16–6 win. In our second game, we came up against a strong Warrandyte team and unfortunately went down. Our final pool match against Ashburton PS was another tough contest, and we narrowly missed a win.
After finishing 3rd in our pool, we moved on to a consolation final against Belgrave Heights PS. It was a close and competitive match, played in great spirit, but we were narrowly defeated 13–9.
The boys finished in 7th place overall in the Eastern Region. A fantastic achievement and a reflection of their hard work, teamwork, and determination. Reaching the regional finals is a major accomplishment in itself, and the team should be incredibly proud.
A huge thank you goes to Mrs Roxie Zisis and Mrs Bronwyn O’Beirne for their invaluable help with transport, scoring, and team management on the day.
Well done to our boys teeball team, a brilliant effort!
