House Events

On Friday 21 March, Australia will acknowledge it's cultural diversity by celebrating Harmony Day. Students are permitted to wear casual clothes and are encouraged to add a touch of orange, the colour used to show your support for this initiative.
The following week, on Wednesday 26 March, the students of St Mary's will celebrate Japanese Day! There will be a parade where students can share their costume ideas with the wider community!
Thus, an opportunity presents itself to combine these two events into our next House Competition!
Students are asked to write a Haiku poem (a style which originated in Japan) about Harmony Day!
Here is Mrs Hodgetts example:
Harmony Day is
where everyone belongs and
is treated equal.
Entries should be placed in the House bags at the bottom of the stairs by Monday 24 March.
