Moderation Day
The Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) has changed the timing for Moderation in Tasmania in 2025. The 2025 Kindergarten to Year 10 and Year 11 & 12 Moderation Day will be held on the same day, being Friday 6 June. There will only be one Year 11 & 12 Moderation in 2025.
Moderation provides a state-wide opportunity for teachers to share expertise and support standards that are consistently understood.
There will be no classes on the Moderation day, as all teaching staff will participate in the Moderation day work and activities. Information has been updated on the School’s Term Dates page.
2025 Student Residential Address and Other Information Collection
The Australian Government Department of Education would like to notify you that they have requested the School to provide students and their family's residential address and other information. Under the Australian Education Regulation 2013, the School is required to provide the department with the following information about each student at the school:
- Names and residential addresses of the student’s parent(s) and/or guardian(s)
- Student residential address (excluding student names)
- Whether the student is a primary or secondary student (education level)
- Whether the student is boarding or a day student (boarding status).
The School collects the above information by generating a unique and unidentifiable – student reference number (SRN) for each student record. The school only uses the SRN for this collection. It is not allowed to be used for any other purpose. The number only indicates to the department that each record provided is for one student.
Further information can be viewed here.
We request that all parents/guardians please ensure their child’s and family's residential information is up-to-date in Operoo. Please click here to check and if necessary, to update using this instruction.
