Lunch Clubs

Look out folks, there's a new club in town! Back by popular demand from the 1980s are the much-loved yo-yos. Mrs Ramsamy and Mrs Rodda have been teaching children across the school a few of their favourite yo-yo tricks. Miss N's Lego Masters are also back in action. This proved to be a very popular lunch club, especially for our Prep students. I don't think they were quite expecting to see the vast amount of Lego on offer! As always, we appreciate any donations for our lunch clubs. We are particularly keen to have more Lego, LOLs, yo-yos and hula hoops.

OT Assessments

We have been made aware of a company who has availability over the school holidays to complete various assessments. If this is something you may be interested in, lease see the attached flyer.

Holiday Plans

The wonderful team at Monkey Minds in Dromana are offering a couple of clubs over the school holidays, but you'll need to get in quickly. Please see the flyer attached.

Happy Families

Án amusing, but helpful article is attached in this week's newsletter - "Now You See Them, Now You Don't". This piece talks about how to combat the 'chore dodgers' in your household.  The next article is strangely named ''I Answered an Unknown Number". This second article has the author recounting a moment when his teenage daughter rang and was expressing some very big emotions. There are some very helpful suggestions in the text to assist with 'emotion coaching'.

Harmony Day

Today we celebrated each other! Harmony Day is marked in the calendar as a celebration of all the wonderful cultures in our country and our school. At St Augustine's, we are a proudly diverse community. On Harmony Day, we wore a little bit of orange to symbolise inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging. Fr Chinua also came to celebrate mass with us at school. It was a really lovely day!

We would love to have you join us at St A's - would you like to help out?

As the school year begins, it's a great time to find out how you can become an active member of our vibrant community at St Augustine's. We always appreciate an extra pair of hands to help across the school for a variety of reasons. This term we will have Cooking & Gardening sessions, a number of sporting events and excursions planned. It would be great if you are able to get involved and take part. If you are keen to join in, please make sure you have a current Working With Children Check
