A message from our Principal

Dear St. Brendan's School Community,

It has been a busy and productive fortnight at St Brendan’s, and I am proud of how our school community continues to embody our core values of equality, collaboration, success, and creativity in all that we do.

School Photos

Tomorrow morning, we will have school photos students must be in Full Summer Uniform. Please ensure all children are wearing the correct uniform including correct colored socks and black shoes.

NAPLAN 2025

Over the past two weeks, our Year 3 and 5 students have participated in the NAPLAN assessments.

I am incredibly proud of how our students approached these tests, giving their best efforts. A big thank you to our Middle and Senior Years staff for their dedication in preparing the students and adjusting timetables to ensure a smooth testing period.

Parent-Teacher Learning Conversations

This week, we held Parent-Teacher Learning Conversations. It was wonderful to see so many parents taking the opportunity to meet with their children’s teachers to discuss their progress and learning experiences at school.

Harmony Day

Last Friday, we celebrated Harmony Day, a national occasion that recognises the diversity and unity of Australians from all backgrounds. This year’s Harmony Day also marked the launch of our Japanese Languages Program, which has been very well received by our students.

A special thank you to our Specialist Teachers—Demi Wood, Angela Collins, Leanne Pellegrino, Ethan Baxter, and Chelsea Renato—for organising the day. Students across all learning communities participated in activities that introduced them to Japanese culture, including sumo wrestling, martial arts, chopstick practice, origami, and traditional craft activities.

A big thank you to Jacklyn Lamb, Rosie Dickins, Kelly Stevens, Arop Acuil and Pat Goyne for helping prepare the fruit platters for the students.

Be sure to visit our Harmony Day write-up in the newsletter for photos and more details on the day’s events.

Behavior Curriculum

Last Thursday, our school leadership team attended a Leaders Masterclass with Knowledge Society, who have partnered with Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd to support our schools in implementing a new behavior curriculum. We had a productive day collaborating and discussing ways to continue providing a safe, calm, and orderly school environment.

We’re excited to continue this work on Tuesday, 1st April with a Teachers Masterclass for our staff, leading up to the implementation of the behavior curriculum in Term 2.

This will be a pupil free day for our students.

Open Day

We are excited to announce our Open Day for 2026 Enrolments!

Our Open Days will take place on Tuesday, 6th May and Wednesday, 21st May, with sessions at 9:15 am, 10:15 am, and 4:30 pm on both dates.
