Year 1

Last Wednesday Year 1 went to Lake Canobolas where we learnt about the culture of the Wiradjuri people.

My day at Lake Canobolas.

Firstly, we went to look for bush tucker with Jacob. We found salt bush. When the Aboriginals found it they waited till it was dry and then crushed the leaves .

Theodore

Jordan told us to close our eyes and we had to say what animals we  heard when he played the didgeridoo.

Emily

Jordan showed us some Aboriginal instruments and they are really cool. We got to feel them and they felt good.

Brian showed us  some Aboriginal dancing that was cool and fun and it was really exhausting and I found really good and we got to stomp our feet and we spoke in Wiradjuri.

Layla

Brian was very good teaching us to dance. You need to put your legs in and out in and out.  We were emus.

 Jacob

Jordan made some damper. It was the best food ever. We cooked the bread from bush tucker they found.
