We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People of the Kulin nation; past, present and those who will walk with us into the future. We acknowledge the rich and unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas, educational practices and the hopes of all First Nations Peoples. We do this in the spirit of reconciliation as we move to a place of justice and partnership - together we work, learn, play and care for one another and this land.
Today was one of those special days of our school year—Photo Day! There’s always a certain excitement in the air as students arrive in their neatly pressed uniforms, hair carefully styled, and their biggest smiles ready to shine. I love that we have our staff photo before school, and this always ends up being in front of an audience of hundreds of students.
Photo Day isn’t just about taking pictures; it’s about capturing a moment in time—memories of our friendships, our growth, and the connections we share at school.
I still remember my own school photo days vividly. Year after year, I was always one of the shortest in my class, which meant I had a prime spot right at the front, often holding the sign with our class name on it. At the time, I didn’t think much of it, but now, looking back at those class photos, I treasure them. They remind me of my classmates, the fun we had, and how much we all changed over the years.
That’s the magic of school photos—they become keepsakes of our journey. One day, our students will look back at their pictures from today and be reminded of their friends, their teachers, and the special time they spent at our school. We grow and change so quickly, but these snapshots help us hold on to the memories of where we’ve been.
Thank you to everyone who helped make today run smoothly—our wonderful teachers, the photographers, and of course, our fantastic students who brought their best smiles. I can’t wait to see this year’s photos and watch as our school community continues to grow, year after year.
Our recent chocolate fundraiser has raised $860.17. This fundraising will be going towards our STEM community plastic recycling project.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and thank you to our school admin staff team for organising the fundraiser.
