Year 7 Camp Recap
What a fantastic time our Year 7 students had at camp! Through a range of exciting activities, students were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, build friendships, and grow in confidence.
One highlight was abseiling, where students tackled heights of up to 8 metres. Nearly every student took on the highest challenge, and all but one participated in at least the smaller abseil. While each student was challenged in different ways, they embraced the experience with courage and had a great time.
Yr 8 English activity
Year 8 English have been exploring The Hero’s Journey.
8W walked into class to find empty desks, each with a single whiteboard marker. Using clues written on the board, students worked with a partner to recall and record all 12 steps of the journey.
The room buzzed with thoughtful discussion, and the desks were spotless by the end!
Yr 12 Morning Tea
Six, seeeeven! Our Year 12s recently celebrated a TALL milestone - just 67 days until graduation!
Last Wednesday, we surprised our Seniors with a special morning tea. As they head into their final days of school, we’re cheering them on and praying for them every step of the way.
The countdown is officially on!
Secondary School Worship
A big shout-out to Year 10 student Nathaniel, who recently performed at Secondary School Worship in front of students from Years 7–12.
He played the same piece that earned him a scholarship to the Riverina Conservatorium of Music, sharing his talent and dedication with our school community. We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate his musical gift together.
Visual Arts Students Inspired by Excursions to Canberra and Wagga Wagga
Our Year 11 and 12 Visual Arts students travelled to Canberra to visit the National Gallery of Australia and the National Portrait Gallery.
Throughout the day, students explored a diverse range of artworks spanning Australian, Indigenous and international collections. The visit enabled students to view many of the artworks and artists they study as part of their Stage 6 Visual Arts course, providing a firsthand experience that cannot be replicated in the classroom.
In addition, Year 9 and 10 students joined our senior Visual Arts students on a visit to the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery to view the annual ArtExpress exhibition. Students were inspired by the creativity, technical skill and conceptual depth demonstrated in the exhibited works. Viewing these exemplary HSC projects provided valuable insight into the possibilities within Visual Arts and encouraged students to reflect on their own artmaking practice.
These excursions provided rich learning experiences that strengthened students' understanding of contemporary art practice while inspiring future creative pursuits.
