Mazenod Football Club (MFC) News

We have recently completed another successful season at Mazenod FC, marked by significant achievements from our U15 Girls team finishing Premiers in their league and advancing to the finals, while our U15 Boys finished as Runner-up. Additionally, for the first time in the club's history, Senior Men's player Eid Sarwari was awarded the top goal scorer in State League 1.

Since partnering with Juventus Academy Melbourne in 2022, we have experienced substantial growth, expanding from 11 teams (134 players) to a total of 20 teams (248 players), and we have also doubled the number of female participants during this period. Our Mini Zebras program, designed for children aged 3 to 7 years, has experienced notable growth, averaging over 30 participants each term throughout the year.

On Sunday, we hosted the Oblates Cup at Brandon Park Reserve, featuring 24 teams competing in the U8, U9, U10, and U11 age groups. The event was a tremendous success, drawing a large audience to enjoy the high-quality football on display.

Although Season 2024 is officially over for most of teams, there is still heaps on, with Term 4 of Mini Zebras commencing early October as well as our Off-season Training Program starting mid-October, which will be open to all players, both from MFC and external clubs. Additionally, to celebrate the achievements of the 2024 season, we have upcoming Presentation events also scheduled for October.
