Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers

As I reflect on the past week there is a real sense that 2024 is drawing to a close, marked by events such as the Secondary Music Dinner, Sports Celebration Dinner, and the House Changeover Dinner on Friday. I am grateful for these moments to come together as a community and celebrate another wonderful year at Clayfield College. These events truly highlight that Clayfield is a place to learn, belong and grow through experiences.

Looking ahead, our thoughts are with our Year 12 cohort as they commence their external exams next week. This is the culmination of much hard work, perseverance and determination by both students and parents alike. On behalf of all the College staff, I extend our best wishes to our Seniors for their upcoming exams and encourage them to let their light shine brightly.

Shine

I am delighted to share with you the Spring edition of Shine magazine – highlighting how our Strategic Intent 2023 - 2027 is being brought to life each and every day.

You can view the magazine online via the link below.

The edition features a number of exciting happenings around the College that showcase our historic growth as we embed ourselves as a fully co-educational Pre-Prep to Year 12 school with the distinctive Parallel Learning model.

There are so many wonderful stories inside to discover, such as:

  • Spotlight on STEM
  • A New Era – Parallel Learning
  • Foundations to Flourish – Early Years

The magazine also features The Duke of Edinburgh Program, Spirit of Clayfield Awards, Harmony Day, The Little Mermaid Jr. Musical, the CCOCA Future Leaders Program and many more fantastic community events.

I hope you enjoy reading Shine Spring 2024!

Uniform Update

Formal Uniform

The new formal uniform, which was introduced in 2023, was developed following extensive consultation with students, Old Collegians, parents and caregivers.

I am pleased to share that, in response to further feedback, we will be introducing a Summer dress option for the Secondary School in 2025. This new addition will complement our existing Summer uniform offerings for girls, which include the blouse, peplum blouse, skirt, shorts, and pants.

HPE Uniform

Additionally, I am excited to inform you that we are refreshing our HPE uniform. This project, led by our Sports Department, has also involved significant consultation. Our students and the P&F Executive have recently had the opportunity to view and try on samples, and we look forward to unveiling the new range to our community throughout Term 4. These new uniform items will be available for purchase in the Uniform Shop starting in 2025, with a twelve-month transition period for our families.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we strive to offer a uniform that not only celebrates our heritage but also embraces our future.

Kind regards
