Year 5 Highlight

This term, in DBL Year 5 students have been diving into the world of Solids, Liquids, and Gases, exploring the fascinating transformations that happen with Freezing and Melting. One highlight of our hands-on investigations involved a “Frog in a Pond” experiment using Jelly and a Freddo Frog to demonstrate these state changes. Students observed how the Jelly, a Liquid when warm, Solidifies as it cools, creating a fun way to see the process of freezing up close! By watching how temperature affects different materials, students are gaining a solid understanding of how everyday substances can change state from Liquid to Solid and back again.
