On Wednesday, while next year’s preps were enjoying a teddy bear picnic, the Year 5s and 6s were having buddy time with the current Preps. However, this wasn't just any ordinary buddy time; it was The Mini Olympics!
To start things off, we were divided into teams, in each team the little buddies were in charge of colouring an outfit, designing a medal, and creating a flag. Then we all voted on what our team should be named, the teams were: Sparkly Unicorns, Mario Land, Sigma Land, Australia, and China.
Next, we went outside to begin the events. There were so many fun events that the Year Fives and Sixes had suggested. Some of the events included a team exercise where we spread out across the basketball court and had to pass a bean bag from one end to the other, then throw it into a hula hoop, a relay race, and a few more exciting challenges.
I really enjoyed participating in the Mini Olympics with our buddies and everyone had a fantastic time.

This week on Wednesday the Preps, 5’s, and 6’s competed with their buddies in a Mini Olympics. They made medals, flags, and jerseys as well as their own country names.
There were six teams and we played a variety of games such as: relays, bean bag tossing, and passing a bean bag down the court.
It was a fun day for the preps and I had a really great time too.
