PESTO THE BABY PENGUIN!

On Tuesday 10/09/24 the 3/4 ‘s and the year 4 ‘s from the 4 /5 room went to SEA LIFE.

At the first exhibit it was a penguin one and there was a baby penguin named Pesto. He was fluffy and cute.

The person who helped us was a girl named Lauren. She was really nice and taught us about sharks.

Pesto was brown but the other penguins were black and white Pesto was different to the others.

If you put your fingers in his fur your fingers will go all the way in his fluffy fur.

                                It was a good day.

At Sea Life there were so many Moon Jellyfish. I learnt that they have four stomachs and they feed on plankton and tiny fish. They live both in warm and cold water. When they touch together they glow white. Be careful because they can sting you. By Sonic

‘’My day with the Prep’s‘’

I missed the bus for the Excursion to Sea Life but I had the best day ever with the Preps.

The first thing we did was painting. I was hired as a helper. The next thing we did was watching Peppa pig. Then we cooked pancakes, but not just any pancakes… potato pancakes. They didn't taste good. But it was fun. Then we had a brain break. I joined in as well. Then we played pass the  parcel I joined but I got a prize from the Prep teacher. Then we did Pinjata and planted potting mix. I loved my day with the prep’s. The End Diana

The visit to the aquarium

I think the main idea of the visit to the aquarium was to learn about sharks and I think the most important and interesting shark is the whale shark, but the Aquarium didn’t have any.

I find Whale sharks are really interesting creatures.

They capture prey including both zooplankton and small animals such as copepods, shrimp, and other invertebrates and phytoplankton such as algae and other marine plant material. Whale sharks have a spread out  in tropical waters and warm seas.

SEAHORSES!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Tuesday the 10th of September the year ¾  went to SEA LIFE for an excursion .

One of our exhibits we looked at was the seahorses. They were so cute and amazing!

We learned a bit about seahorses and how they use their tails to grip onto seaweed when strong currents try to blow them away!

Then we got to explore the area and look at the different tanks with seahorses in them!

After exploring the seahorses I tried to spot the seahorse in a big tank.

After that It was the end of our trip by the seahorses

I was so excited when I saw a grey shark swimming in a big fish tank. It had sharp spiky teeth. I also saw a big crab the size of my head. It was very large. Then I came across a lot of purple jellyfish followed by a big magnificent sea turtle that swam over my head. Next I came across  a Port Jackson shark.

My friend Shadrak saw a Ferrari and he said  the Ferrari bought a new Ferrari. I laughed my head off.

Ryobi the Sawfish

Ryobi the saw fish has a long saw that I have never seen in my life. Ryobi is the coolest sawfish. Ryobi the saw fish has a saw shape. He hunt’s for predator’s and he sometimes kind to people but he's sometimes scared flat.

I like Ryobi is the best.

Fiddler Rays

A few days ago I went to the aquarium and it was so fun and amazing. The part I liked the most was watching the fiddler rays. Did you know they are carnivores and like to eat crustaceans, crabs, shrimps, small fishes, molluscs, and polychaete worms. I liked how they blended into the sandy sea floor and and how they spin their body around to check for predators. I liked the person that told us all about the animals and her name was Emma. My second favourite animal was Pinjarra the salt water crocodile. She was so scaly and so long. Pinjarra eats insects, crustaceans, snails, small fishes, frogs, and tadpoles.
