In the Food Technology elective Cafe Culture, students have immersed themselves in the art of creating delectable café-style dishes. Recently, students were introduced to delightful Devonshire Tea, mastering the preparation of scones served with whipped cream and jam, capturing the essence of café culture. Additionally, students designed and produced colourful Buddha Bowls, combining fresh vegetables, grains, and proteins, allowing for creativity and nutrition in their presentations. Each dish was presented with care and attention to detail, showcasing the students' dedication to delivering café-quality food.
In the Year 7 and 8 Food Technology elective, students have been exploring the art of creating delicious treats. Recently, they produced Golden Syrup Dumplings, mastering the techniques of steaming and creating rich, syrupy desserts. They also designed and produced indulgent Freak Shakes, blending flavours and textures to create eye-catching, over-the-top milkshakes that are popular in café settings. Each dish was presented with great care, highlighting their developing cooking skills and commitment to creating inviting meals.
As the Year 12 students approach their final exams, students produced a special Big Breakfast revision session to help them revise. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to review key concepts while enjoying a hearty meal together. I want to take this moment to congratulate all Year 12 students on an outstanding year in VCE Food Studies. Your hard work and dedication have truly shone through. Wishing you all the best for your exams and for your future food experiences!
