Below is a snapshot of our school-wide minor and major data. As you can see, both minor and major behaviour incidents have declined as the year has progressed. This shows what a calm and respectful school Ceres Primary School is and is a testament to the work staff have put into this initiative and the outstanding behaviour of our students, in the classroom and in the yard.
Staff on yard duty continue to implement a new initiative from last term – a token stamp that is given to students at recess and lunch times for following the expected behaviour on our matrix. Over the last 2 weeks, many students have received tokens for their outstanding values in the yard. When they receive a token stamp, they receive a credit token towards their classroom rewards and a token goes towards their house – Lok Lok and Kanyul. This week I have seen students cleaning the cubby houses, watering the plants, tidying the fairy garden, including a range of year levels in their games, and playing in an inclusive manner. It is wonderful to witness this outstanding behaviour and to see the amazing culture amongst students at Ceres.
