YES Program - upcoming Term 4 workshops

R U OK? DAY

This year a range of activities were organized for staff and students to celebrate and recognize the importance of R U OK Day.

Staff were treated to morning coffee/hot chocolate, as well as a staff morning tea to promote connectedness and show appreciation. Staff, students and our Year 12  cohort were also offered the chance to attend a Pilates session with Studio13 Pilates after school to wind down the day.  Students were encouraged to wear yellow, as well as attend lunchtime activities with headspace Mildura making stress balls, and Mrs. Oates running kindness cards in wellbeing. Jamaine Lawson Chapman of year 11 won the “guess how many lollies in the jar competition” and gained himself the jar of yellow lollies, and an R U OK Day bag full of goodies. Students also engaged in R U OK Day lessons during resilience project this week, which focused on asking the people around them, if they are okay, in a meaningful way.
