Living Justice Living Peace

I want to begin by acknowledging the conflict in the Middle East. Those who have been displaced, those who are grieving loved ones, and those whose homes have been destroyed. We hope for a peaceful resolution for all impacted by the ongoing war.

Hardship is never too far away and now more than ever it is important to continue to advocate for those in the margins. Social justice is about fairness, equality, and respect for all individuals, regardless of their background, identity, or circumstance. It calls upon us to examine and challenge the inequities that persist in our world.

Next year, we want to continue the work accomplished by our leaders, to create an environment that leads with empathy and understanding, where each voice is heard, and every individual is accepted. We aim to be a community that is inclusive, working towards a just society, both within the school and the broader community.

This festive season, we are conducting a Christmas Hamper Appeal to help make other families’ Christmas a special time. As a Catholic community, we believe in walking with those in their challenges, demonstrating compassion and bringing hope and joy, just like the Christmas message.

Each House has been asked to supply some non-perishable Christmas items for those who have experienced a challenging year for a variety of reasons. Hampers will be donated to Echuca Neighbourhood House & St Mary’s Parish.
