We have had so much fun cooking with produce we have grown ourselves in our garden.  We made 33 jars of jam with a donation of strawberries a few months ago, and have been finding ways to use jam in our recipes ever since, such as in the icing on the cupcakes photographed above, in jam drop biscuits, and an amazing sour cream layer cake with strawberry buttercream that I wish I’d gotten a photo of before it was devoured.
