Prep Update

Upcoming learning:

During the next fortnight, Prep students are undertaking learning in the following areas:

Reading	Week 10 & 11: We will be completing an Author Study and reading various Christmas Stories, focusing on reading for enjoyment. We will continue to engage in daily Phonics lessons, focusing on revising our learning from the Semester.
Writing	Week 10 & 11: We will be writing a Transition letter for our 2024 teachers, reflecting on prep year and various Christmas writing activities.
Maths	Week 10 & 11: We are revising our number learning from the term, including addition, subtraction and place value.
Inquiry	Week 10 & 11: We are learning about Positive affirmations to summarise and celebrate our learning.
Social and Emotional	Week 10: We are focusing on Enthusiasm and Teamwork through reading the stories 'Clark the Shark' and 'Tiger’s Roar.' Week 11: We are celebrating our Success this Prep year, reflecting on our learning, persistence, resilience and personal growth.

2024 PrepsTransition sessions.
At 9:00-10:00am on Wednesday the 6th of December, our current Preps will be completing their learning in the Year 3 classrooms. Please support us making this a smooth transition by having your child at school on time at 8:45am.
