COVID REMINDER

COVID-19 is still circulating in the community, and it has the potential to cause severe illness in some people. Your well-being is of utmost importance, and protecting yourself is the most effective way to safeguard others. 

 

 By taking proactive measures and following recommended guidelines, we collectively contribute to a healthier and safer environment for everyone.

  

WHO TO CONTACT AT TORO

All employees must notify their manager immediately upon testing positive for COVID or if you have been deemed a close contact.

 What happens if I have symptoms of COVID-19

  • DO NOT come to work if you have ANY symptoms of COVID, get tested.

 What happens if an employee finds out they have tested positive for COVID-19 while at work?

  • No one should be at work whilst awaiting a COVID-19 PCR test result. Anyone awaiting a PCR test result must stay home and not attend work until they get a negative COVID-19 test result.

 When can an employee who has tested positive for COVID-19 return to work?

  • Anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 is recommended to stay at home until your symptoms have passed.
  • Recovered cases may continue to have symptoms such as fever, runny nose, cough, or shortness of breath. If these symptoms continue, you are recommended to stay at home until you feel better as you may still be infectious
  • You do not require a negative test result at the end of their isolation period in order to return to work.

 When can an employee who is identified as a household contact return to work?

·  Household contacts should work from home for 5 days. If unable to work from home the following conditions apply:

 Recommended to wear a mask indoors

  • Recommended to undertake at least five negative rapid antigen tests over the seven days that would previously have been their self-quarantine period.

 Who do I advise if I return a positive test or am considered a close contact?

  • All employees must advise their manager.

 What financial support is available to me?

  • An employee is able to exercise the option to work from home during the isolation period. (If practicable)
  • Sick leave, annual leave or long service leave entitlements may be accessed during illness and isolation period
  •  Leave without pay is available should all entitlements be exhausted.
