Caritas Leadership Day

Year 5 students who applied for House Captain roles for 2024 attended St Francis Primary School with other primary schools for the ‘Just Leadership Caritas Australia Day.

Presenter Kerry Stone was an inspiring and uplifting speaker and shared stories about the good work Caritas Australia does around the world. Students gained a deeper understanding of how to be a fair and just leader through role play and discussions that addressed qualities, traits and emotions. Choice words included listening, happy, humble, brave, determination, resilience and respect.

The big takeaway was the importance of Solidarity, Dignity and Justice. We plan to collect cans with 10c symbol on it to raise money for Project Compassion.
