Literacy in 4 year old Kinder

We sing songs, play games, read books, and use language every day at kinder that enable children to develop their skills in literacy. 

This term,  The Correa children have been exploring storytelling and learning about rhyme.  We have had a Puppet Theatre area and are using the overhead projector for storytelling and shadow puppets. During group times we  have been looking at rhyming words, songs and stories  and the children are developing a great understanding!! Rhythm and rhyme play a big part in Literacy development in kinder children.
