Italian Principals Visit
This Thursday 13th February, we will welcome and host a group of academics from Melbourne University and University of Verona (Associate Professor Daniela Acquaro and Professor Claudio Girelli) and seven principals from schools in Italy who are in Melbourne to participate in the ICSEI 2025 (International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement).
These are progressive principals who are all part of a network called ‘Scuola Senza Zaino’ :https://senzazaino.it/.
They will visit our school to observe our Italian bilingual program in action, the ways in which we empower our students to display student voice and agency, and the wellbeing practices and SEL program we deliver that foster an inclusive and meaningful learning environment for our students.
Giochi Matematici del Mediterraneo
In March, our Year 3, 4 and 5 students will sit their third test in this Italian Maths Competition! Based on the students’ eagerness and feedback so far this term, I am certain that they will approach this challenge with bravery and a sense of possibility!
COASIT Italian Language Assistants- Accommodation Expression of Interest
We are grateful to COASIT for providing us with two Italian Language Assistants yet again this year!
We are thrilled to announce that our 2025 COASIT Italian Language Assistants will arrive after Easter. Their names are Lucrezia and Sophie!
