STEM

The BSPS students have had a great time exploring the new (old) STEM area in the Hub. They have loved spreading out in all of the new spaces and having a range of different surfaces to work on.  We started the term with a few chain reaction challenges,  incorporating dominos, ramps, balls, and dominos, before commencing our official STEM units in Week 3.

This term the Year  5/6 students will be exploring electronics and design, The Year 5/6 students will be exploring the structure and significance of different monuments around the world and the Year 1/2 students will be participating in a range of experiments to do with force. 

The Foundation students will be participating a some basic engineering (tower-making) with a range of different materials before undertaking a range of activities that demonstrate what the 4 disciplines in the acronym STEM are.
