Year 11 Design & Technology Industry Visit

Year 11 Design and Technology students recently embarked on an excursion to Bidgee Strawberries and Cream and Wagga Swim School, providing valuable real-world insights into the challenges faced by local businesses. Students explored daily operations, identified target market groups, and examined the key factors considered when designing solutions to practical problems. These visits will directly inform the students' upcoming design projects, where they will develop their own innovative solutions in response to the challenges observed.
The students' enthusiastic participation and insightful questions were a credit to the school. We extend our sincere thanks to Bidgee Strawberries and Cream and Wagga Swim School for their generous hospitality and for sharing their expertise with our students.

“It was exquisite and eye-opening to see how much work goes on behind the scenes to produce the strawberries and the sunflowers.” Alex English
“It was cool to see locals (Michael & Kylie) were able to design and come up with solutions to everyday problems, and now we have the opportunity to design and solve some problems for the Bidgee Strawberry Farm.” Miguel Quitola
