Principal Message

A wonderful start to our 2025 school year! Classes have begun well, students have settled into their classes and learning is taking place in calm environments despite the heat. Having cooling across all learning spaces makes such a difference.

For us 2025 is about Excellence in Catholic Education for Every Student. This holistic agenda is seeing very significant work in Faith and Mission, Learning and Wellbeing.

So much has been happening in our first few weeks. Tonight we have our Open Night. In preparation for that we have visited all of our feeder catholic Primary schools and held parent meetings for prospective boarding students at Tumut, Temora and Cootamundra.

Whether you live close or afar, five day boarding may be something you’d like to consider. You can find out more about this also at our Open Night. We’d love you all to come along. Book here Bookings will help us with food and tours.

Our start of the year has begun with our High Achievers Assembly, the College Swimming Carnival and rehearsals are well underway for High School Musical.

Our High Achievers assembly gave us the opportunity to welcome back those students from Year 12 2024 with high ATARS, Distinguished Achievers- Band 6 in courses along with those students who achieved extraordinary growth in their learning over time.

It was inspiring to see the range of success and the students were addressed by our College Dux for 2024 Lucinda Roche who gave the students very practical and pertinent advice about how to achieve their own personal excellence in the HSC.

The college swimming carnival was held last Thursday with more students than previous years fulfilling their commitment they gave when starting at the college. It was an exciting afternoon with many records broken, plenty of student involvement and of course the Year 12’s entertaining all with their House Synchronised Swimming championship.

High School Musical will begin on 15th May. In preparation for that, rehearsals and other work are well underway with the team led by Ms. Patterson and Ms Hale. It looks to be a wonderful event and we look forward to seeing you all at the Civic Theatre for this production.

With Pope Francis so unwell in Rome please pray this prayer for him as he battles this current illness.

God Bless
