MLC Newsletter Week 2 

We have had a fantastic start in the MLC and already kicking goals in all subject areas!  

Magnify 

We have been very excited to get stuck into the Magnify program and use Ochre in both Literacy and Maths. We have made start on our new novels in literacy which we are loving!! In Year 3 we have been reading the fantastic Matilda and Year 4 have getting stuck into Kensuke’s Kingdom. In Year 4 we even had some guest readers to give Mr Harding a chop out! 

Sport Days 

In the MLC we have two sport days a week! 

Year 3: Wednesday (with Mr Powell) and Friday (with MLC teachers).  

Year 4: Monday (with Mr Powell) and Friday (with MLC teachers).  

Can students please wear their sports uniform on these days.  

Library Bags 

We are very lucky to have the opportunity to use the library weekly to borrow and return books.We are encouraging all students to bring their library bags and borrow with the lovely Mrs Natale during Italian time (Year 3 Wednesday and Year 4 Monday). Students are encouraged to borrow a novel to read each night and a second book of their choice.  

The library is also open every morning for our super keen readers if they want to change their books more frequently.  

Confirmation and Eucharist  

We are excited to be able to let you know that our Confirmation and Eucharist Weekend dates have been confirmed as Saturday the 31st of May 2025 and Sunday the 1st of June 2025. More information will follow keep your eyes peeled for updates in the newsletter and your emails.  

Swimming  

We have enjoyed swimming during this hot week and have all made great improvements in all our strokes and water safety skills and are super ready for our swimming carnival Monday (10th of February).
