Principal's Message

Dear Endeavour Hills Specialist School community members,
As we reach the end of Term 1, we take this opportunity to reflect on the wonderful start to the school year. It has been a term filled with learning, growth, and strong community connections, and we are proud of the positive energy and dedication demonstrated by our students, staff, and families.
Building Positive Community Relationships - Fostering a supportive and inclusive school environment has been a key focus this term. Through various events and initiatives, we have strengthened the bonds within our school community. I have just returned from a beautiful lunch celebrating Eid and harmony day. It was lovely to see so many parents sharing food from their culture and enjoying time with their children and other families. Thank you to those parents who came and supported this event.
A Positive Start to the School Year - We are delighted with how well our students have settled into their learning routines. Teachers have worked diligently to create engaging and supportive classroom environments, ensuring that every student feels valued and encouraged to do their best.
Staying Safe Around the School - Thank you to our families for your support in relation to the changes with the drop off and pick up routines. It is very important that we keep our students safe around busy roads. The following are some important tips
- Always have your child exit/enter the vehicle from the curb (passenger) side. Never exit into oncoming traffic
- Never leave children in cars while dropping your child. Cars can heat up to dangerous temperatures even on cloudy and cool days
- Please do not park on the footpath. This is dangerous and illegal
- Continue to follow the directions of staff while on school grounds, including carparks.
- Please obey all speed and parking signs both on Amalfi Drive and within the school car park
The school council is developing a petition to deliver to Casey Council requesting the installation of a school crossing on Amalfi Drive. Please look out for parents and staff at the beginning of term 2 and add your signature of support to the petition.
We will update you on the carpark access via Compass prior to the commencement of Term 2.
Works are currently underway installing speed humps on Amalfi Drive to assist in slowing traffic down along the road.
Looking Ahead - As we move into Term 2, we remain committed to nurturing academic success, student well-being, and strong community ties. There are many exciting events and opportunities on the horizon, and we encourage everyone to stay connected and involved.
Thank you for your continued support. Wishing all students and families a restful and enjoyable break!
Warmly,
Karen Hunt
