From the Classroom

Grade 4

Reading plays a vital role in developing critical thinking, imagination and comprehension skills. Students are encouraged to read a variety of texts and respond to them thoughtfully, helping them build vocabulary and a deeper understanding of the world. By reading regularly, both in class and outside of school, students strengthen their ability to infer meaning, predict outcomes, and connect ideas - essential strategies for lifelong learning. Encouraging students to enjoy books at home, in the library or even outdoors fosters a love of reading and helps them become confident and independent readers. This week, students had the opportunity to take their books outside, enjoying fresh air while diving into their stories - a perfect way to inspire a lifelong passion for reading.

Foundation Show and Tell

The Foundation students had a very special Show and Tell today. Karlie brought along her new kelpie puppy 'Tilly.'

Grade 1/2 Romeo Britto Hearts

Students were inspired by Romeo Britto's bright, vibrant and fun style to create some pop art hearts. They learnt about how Britto focuses on light and positivity, and brings joy to the lives of many people through his art. You may have seen his work on many different licenced items. Well done Grade 1/2 students!
