Library News

The Premier's Reading Challenge has begun!
The challenge opened this week, and closes on August 22nd. The challenge organisers have changed a few things to do with administration this year, and we are currently waiting for new passwords to be available for our students.
Accounts for all students will continue to be managed at school, however students in years 3-6 will be given their passwords when they become available, and can then add books to their own accounts.
Paper reading logs are being given out in our library lessons, and these should be kept in library bags for recording books read at home. I will add these books for students in K-2, and provide assistance for anyone in year 3-6 whenever they need it.
Students in K-2 are challenged to read 30 books (books read to them will be included)
Students in 3-6 are challenged to read 20 books
Your support in encouraging the children read each day is greatly appreciated!
New Shelving in the Library!
We are very excited about some new shelving for our non fiction collection! These new shelves are already making a difference to the accessibility of this part of our collection, and the children are loving being able to browse these books more freely. The new shelves will also allow me to continue building our collection, to provide the children with even more interesting reads!
Don't forget your library bags!
Tuesday: Years 3, 5, 6 and 1
Thursday: Years 2, 4 and Kindergarten
