Victorian Japanese Pencil Calligraphy Competition – Student Achievements
Last week at assembly we announced some fantastic achievements by our students in the Victorian Japanese Pencil Calligraphy Competition.
In September 2024, during Japanese classes, students from Year 1 to Year 6 took part in the annual state-wide competition. Students showed our school values, particularly ambition and courage, to create their best work. They focused, followed instructions, challenged themselves to achieve their best, persisted when challenged, and of course, demonstrated a talent for Japanese writing.
The most outstanding pieces were selected to represent BHNPS in the competition. Congratulations to all students whose calligraphy pieces were chosen. You should be incredibly proud of your efforts.
A special congratulations to the following students who placed in the top three in the state:
Year 1 and 2 Division
🥇 1st Place – Kai Khoo🥈 2nd Place – Alicia Jia
Year 5 and 6 Division
🥉 3rd Place – Adela Su
Well done to all participants for your hard work!
