Naomi Gaykamangu (main photo) from Ramingining (completed Year 12 in Melbourne in 2022) – says that work is going great! Naomi works at Centrelink and also the Women's Activity Program, where ladies come in and learn new things such a soap making, candle making, tie dye clothes, painting, cooking and sewing bags or clothes which they can sell for income. Sometimes they go hunting and fishing together.

Naomi also helps with other things such as an aged care group or the ladies safe house - sometimes it's cultural work like learning about things in their local art centre and adding it to their business. They also run a hair salon, for hair washing and they have two amazing hairdressers. Naomi gets to take courses for what she is interested in and help others to take them as well.

To get the job Naomi needed an ID, resume and then completed a 3 week course before she commenced work.  Naomi will be going from Activity Supervisor to Activity Coordinator very soon - megastar!!!
