Meet the Senior Team

Meet the Senior Team

Tim Plummer- STF (Monday-Fridays, no Wednesdays)

I'm excited to be sharing the class with Frank this year, with him bringing his expertise on Wednesdays. I’m really looking forward to getting to know the students and creating a fun and engaging learning environment.

Outside of school, I’m a proud parent of two wonderful kids, aged 8 and 5. I love a good coffee, spending time tinkering in the garage, and working on my latest project—building a caravan! Once it's finished, I can't wait to take it on adventures and explore our beautiful country.  I’m looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!

Jesse Hughes- SJH (Monday-Fridays)

Hi, I’m Jesse and I’m the Seniors’ Team Leader this year. I’ve been at BNWPS for 13 years now and have enjoyed being part of over 200 students’ learning journeys. I have two children, both who attend the school. Along with my wife, we enjoy trivia nights, watching Scandi noir and swimming with the kids.

This year I’ll be team teaching with Celia (Team NZ!), so you may need to watch out for your children coming home with a slight kiwi twang. I love maths, puzzles and all types of board games. I’m really looking forward to helping the seniors students strive this year.

Ann Laming- SAJ (Wednesday-Fridays)

Hi, I’m Ann, and I’ve been part of the BNWPS community for many years, watching students learn, grow, and thrive. This year, I’m excited to be sharing a class with Jen, who is new to our school, and I’ve really enjoyed working alongside her. I teach from Wednesday to Friday, and on Mondays and Tuesdays, I swap the classroom for quality time with my granddaughter, Pia—who keeps me just as busy and entertained!

Outside of school, I love staying active with walking and going to the gym, and I’m always on the lookout for the spiciest food I can find.

Celia Dickinson- SCD (Monday-Fridays)

Hi, I’m Celia, a senior school teacher at BNWPS. I’ve been teaching at the school for a number of years and am really enjoying team teaching in the double grade with Jesse this year. I love creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident to take on new challenges.

Outside of school, you’ll often find me with my nose in a good book, playing taxi mum to my child Kowhai, or chilling with a great TV series. I’ve recently dived into the world of home renovations—turns out, I might need more help than I thought! (Anyone handy with a hammer?)

Frank Guarino- STF (Wednesdays)

Hello everyone. I’m Frank Guarino and I am happy to be teaching seniors this year with Tim Plummer. I have returned to teaching recently after a break and applied for some CRT teaching at Brunswick NWPS as it is close to home and is also the primary school I attended as a primary student. I was very happy to accept the part-time teaching position when it was offered.

Most of my teaching was in a catholic secondary school. I taught visual arts including Art, Visual Communication and Design, Woodwork and Automotive. I live in the Pascoe Vale South area now but lived in Gisborne for many years on a small farm. I spend much of my spare time doing renovations, sailing, bushwalking and bike riding.

Jennifer Dunnell- SAJ (Monday-Tuesdays)

Hi, I’m Jennifer Dunnell and I am new to Brunswick North West Primary this year. I have been teaching since 2012 and have taught a number of different primary grades. During this time, I have also married, adopted a cat and had two children. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, crochet and playing board games. I am so grateful to be here at Brunswick North West this year, and am looking forward to meeting you all.
