Newlands Cookbook

We’re publishing a cookbook and we need your recipes!
We all know Newlands Primary is a unique school. Located on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people, it brings together families from across the Spanish-speaking world, many parts of Australia and numerous other countries. We're publishing a cookbook to celebrate the cultures, traditions and stories that make up our community, and we want recipes from everyone. Our goal is to create a cookbook that reflects the many different ways food connects us to family, culture, Country and home.
We’re looking for recipes that hold special memories. They might be meals from your childhood, dishes you love sharing with your kids, drinks for summer holidays, recipes for celebrations or simple favourites that quickly fill hungry bellies. From breakfasts and lunchbox snacks to family dinners, drinks and desserts, we’d love to see the recipes that matter most to you.
Together, we hope to create a cookbook that celebrates the rich diversity of our entire school community and the joy of gathering around the table (or campfire).
Recipes are due by 25 July, but please don't leave it until the last minute. If we receive multiple versions of the same dish, we may not be able to include them all. So if you think your lasagne, damper, yerba mate, pho or jollof rice deserves a place in the Newlands cookbook, get your recipe in early. You're welcome to submit more than one recipe, and we'll include as many as we can fit in the book.
To submit your recipe, download the template, complete every field and email it to newlandsprimarypfa@gmail.com
