Wellbeing - Senior School
During the last week students in Years 9, 10 and 11 have been recognised for their application and academic achievement during Semester 1. Over 100 students received Certificates of Excellence for their Student Attributes Average while those who achieved excellent grades and results were acknowledged with an Academic Commendation award.
Students involved in Languages were also recognised with Semester 1 Certificates of Achievement.
A reminder that the re-scheduled Years 9 and 10 Lenten Dance will occur this coming Friday evening at the College Hall, 6:00 PM - 9:30 PM. Students with existing tickets will be able to attend. Fingers crossed that the weather does not have the same impact as it did in April.
Excitement is building as the 2023-24 College Cup enters its final weeks. The champion house will be announced in mid-September, providing students the opportunity to participate in the annual College Cup Rewards Day at Aquatopia on Friday 27 September.
We wish Year 11 all the best as they commence their preliminary course examinations next Monday. It will be one of the few opportunities for students to undertake tasks under examination conditions prior to the HSC in 2025. Details have been provided to students, parents/carers, examination timetables also available on CANVAS.
Finally, I take this opportunity to wish all the fathers, grandfathers, and father-figures a fantastic Father’s Day on Sunday. I am eagerly anticipating the opportunity to attend the liturgy at my daughter’s school on Friday and know that SPC dads will have similar sentiments when they attend one of our liturgies here.
