Message from Lyn Rodda

As the very proud Principal of Solway Primary School, I am humbled and delighted by the many lovely messages and gifts I received from the classes. The thoughtful messages from students, parents and teachers along with photos of the students and families and siblings who are past students were beautiful. It was so lovely to hear from you all. Thank you to everyone for making my last week and day so very special. 

Many parents have been a part of the school for a long time, while some have joined our school community more recently. Together, we have shaped this school into the fantastic educational institution it is today. We are connected – staff, students and families, by a common goal to provide the very best opportunities for all who enter our doors. We know that every student matters.

Solway is a great school, highly sought after, with outstanding achievements in many areas.  I feel very privileged to have been your Principal for the past 5 years, and I thank you for your support, your involvement, and your friendship. I will miss you all – but am looking forward to the future with confidence and excitement. You may see me at school this year occasionally, as I complete the handover and attend to any other matters that require my attention. I look forward to seeing the students perform at the production at the end of the month and I know that Solway is in good hands!
