Writer’s Workshop:We have pushed the pause button on our collaborative graphic novel, as we will be deep diving into inquiry this week. Students will design and plan a 3D model to share with you in our celebration of learning.

Reader’s Workshop: We are focusing on stamina reading this week to ensure students have completed their Premier’s Reading Challenge. Please continue to read at home as well.

Mathematics: We will continue exploring fractions and looking at fractions as numbers.  We are beginning to add fractions with the same denominator whilst continuing to apply our understanding to real-life situations.

Unit of Inquiry:

We are beginning to design our significant feature that students will then create a 3D model of. They will need to ensure their design has social and cultural significance, whilst considering what materials/resources would be appropriate to construct it in the real world and what supplies, such as pop sticks, cardboard, clay, alfoil etc. they could use in the classroom to replicate them.

Reminders:

We warmly welcome all parents and caregivers to attend.

We look forward to sharing our students' learning journey with you!
