Created for a Purpose

It is so liberating to reflect on the idea that god knows each of us as individuals and creates us for a purpose. He has a real desire to have a relationship with each of us. That is why He sent his Son, Jesus, to die on the cross and be resurrected for us, to take our sins so that we can have a relationship with Him.

We see in the book of Revelation, the last book in the Bible, that God calls us to live with Him in the new heavens and new earth and to glorify and enjoy Him forever, reflecting His grace and love for us. In turn, he asks us to embrace His grace and love through faith in Jesus.

God also calls us to respond to his grace and love for us in this world by giving ourselves over to serving him and showing Christlikeness to others. Once we have embraced these ideas through the spirit which works in us and gives us strength to do so, we are in a position for God to lead us into how He wants to work his purposes out in our daily lives.

We find God's wisdom in Proverbs 3: 5 - 6 as we “trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths”.

Dear Lord, we thank you for the your Son, Jesus, and your love for us. We also thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit as you guide and strengthen us to be more like you every day in sharing your love with the world and as we look forward to sharing eternal life with you. Amen

Blessings
