CEPS had a fantastic day at the House Athletics Carnival, with the atmosphere as vibrant as a warm summer’s day. Students enthusiastically participated in both track events (100m, 200m, 800m, hurdles) and field events (shot put, discus, long jump, triple jump), alongside some fun novelty activities.
It was wonderful to see everyone giving their best, displaying great sportsmanship, and cheering each other on—especially as ribbons were awarded at the end of each race and event. The day truly felt like our very own mini-Olympics!
A special thank you goes to the parents who assisted Mrs. Robinson at the track early Friday morning, as well as our dedicated teachers, students, and parents who helped run events, ensuring everything ran smoothly and kept spirits high. We also extend our gratitude to the Year 11 students from Cheltenham Secondary College (many of whom are ex-CEPS students and siblings) for their valuable help throughout the day.
A standout moment was the Grade 6 House Captains vs. Teachers (Mrs. Robinson, Divya, Ms. Crawford, and Ms. Boucher) relay race—it was a lot of fun and had everyone laughing and cheering!
Congratulations to all the House Teams for their efforts. We look forward to the District Athletics, where our selected team will compete at Duncan McKinnon Athletic Track on Wednesday, September 11th.
Well done to everyone involved in making this event a success!
