Book Week 2024 - Reading is Magical
Next week, from Monday 19 August to Friday 23 August, we will be celebrating Book Week 2024. This year's theme is 'Reading is Magical', and we have a week full of exciting activities planned to inspire a love of reading in all our students.
Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity to participate in various book-related activities, including dress-up days, where they can come to school dressed as their favourite book characters. We encourage all parents to help their children get creative with their costumes, celebrating the magic of stories.
In addition, we will be hosting a special Book Fair, where students can browse and purchase a selection of wonderful books. This is a fantastic chance for students to discover new stories and for families to support our school library.
Please join us in making Book Week a magical experience for all our students. We look forward to celebrating the enchantment of reading together!

Student Safety - Before/After School Yard Supervision
Student safety at our highest priority and the safe and appropriate supervision of students is an important element of our duty of care to students. Part of this duty is ensuring parents and students are aware of our student supervision arrangements before and after school.
Before school: School grounds are supervised at 8.45am
After school: School grounds are supervised until 3.45pm
Students on school grounds outside these times will not be supervised (unless they are attending the Team Kids before or after school care program)
Parents/carers are requested to ensure that students do not attend school outside of these supervised times unless they are attending Team Kids.
Year 4 Camp
This week our Year 4 students engaged in an exciting three-day camp at Phillip Island Adventure Resort from Monday 12 August to Wednesday 14 August. The camp was a fantastic opportunity for the students to challenge themselves, build resilience, and create lasting memories with their peers and staff.
Throughout the camp, students participated in a variety of thrilling activities, including the Giant Swing, Single Flying Fox, Archery, Low Ropes, and the Boulder Wall. They also enjoyed an adventurous visit to Amaze N Things and a scenic trip to the Nobbies.
A huge thank you goes out to our dedicated staff for their organisation and commitment to ensuring the camp was a success. Special recognition to Mr Hughes, Mrs Lazzaro, Miss Boucher, Ms Davy, Miss Crawford, Mrs Douglas, and pre-service teacher, Mr Selim, for making this camp such a memorable experience for our students. Your hard work and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated!
